The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11

The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11. Who are these two prophets? What do they have to say? Why are they called the two witnesses? How will their message be proclaimed? And is there any special significance to the fact that they're headquartered in Jerusalem? God's Church has often wondered about these things, but we ALL need to know the answers to these vital questions, especially since the two witnesses will soon make their debut upon the world stage!

Even as the United Europe is being raised up before our very eyes, just as Herbert W. Armstrong said it would, isn't it reasonable that God is raising up the two witnesses who will testify against it? And even as God's Church is approaching the end of their great commission (Herbert W. Armstrong took the gospel around the world, the Church must warn the world), isn't it only reasonable that the two witnesses should be beginning theirs? (John 3:30). Didn't Isaiah foresee this very event when he prophesied of the "night when no man can work," but assures us of two whom God would simultaneously raise up to impart their light? (Isaiah 60:1-2).

It appears that the full power and glory of Elijah's office isn't to be fulfilled until AFTER God's Church has been removed to "her place" and a double portion of God's Spirit is transferred to our successor - the two witnesses! (Revelation 12:14; 2 Kings 2:9).

God states that He shall station watchmen in Jerusalem. Why? For the purpose of comforting His captive Church and Israelite people. How will they be comforted? By the ASSURANCE that our God will come and save us and avenge us of our enemies (Isaiah 62:6-7; 40:1; 35:3-4)! The specific commission and anointing of the two witnesses is clearly recorded in Isaiah 61:1-2.

Remember your Roots

Malachi 4:5-6 further reveals that they are to PREPARE THE NATION of Israel for the Coming of our King, by a baptism of repentance that will prepare them to receive the Holy Spirit (which is to be poured out at Christ's return). That national preparation is only possible if Israel's heart is turned back to the heart of our fathers (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob), and then, in turn, our hearts must be turned back to the GOD of our fathers and His TRUE religion.

Presently there's a "generation gap" between the fathers and us because the true religion demands obedience to the Law of God. Abraham recognizes only the obedient as his legal heirs (Genesis 18:19; John 8:39; Galatians 3:29). And since we're a rebellious nation and people (Isaiah 30:9), Abraham refuses to acknowledge us (Isaiah 63:16; Hosea 5:7; 6:7).

If Israel dares to reject this necessary "family reunion" that would direct us to our Heavenly Father, God will be forced to destroy all rebellious life from off the face of the earth. Why? Because Israel is God's national firstborn and the law demands death to stubborn sons (Deuteronomy 21:18-21; Malachi 4:6)! God realizes that if Israel can't be saved, then no nation can. The continued existence of Israel is vital to the survival of ALL nations, because Israel is the national salt as the Church of God is the spiritual salt!

Judaism's replacement theology and identity theft condemned

Excerpt from A FORUM ON THE MIDDLE EAST

The religion of Judaism, whatever branch, can determine for themselves who they want to accept as "Jewish" - whether Indian or African CONVERTS to the religion of Judaism. No problem. Your religion. Your converts - real or imagined.

The problem arises when legitimate Hebrews such as myself (who don't need your approval or the British-ordained Chief Rabbinate's recognition of our Israelite origins to know who we are and embrace the biblical and historical fact that we are Joseph your brother - we merely reveal it to those willing to open their eyes and see or at hear and consider) see such blatant replacement theology, such anti-Semitism against Joes (Joseph was the leading tribe of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, capital Samaria), such IDENTITY THEFT and FRAUD, when such Jews by religion pretend clearly African/Negroid CONVERTS to Judaism are, "in part," descendants of Dan (they won't even claim them from Judah) or clearly Mongolian/Indian CONVERTS to Judaism are from Menashe (when they don't bear a single biblical birthmark of fulfilled prophecy with Joseph's blessing of power and prosperity). That's when the religion of Judaism crosses the line and must be opposed: when it attempts to steal our Israelite identity, the Hebrew roots of the West, and transfer them to Gentiles who want to move on up to Westernized Israel. Such identity theft will continue to be exposed and condemned, as it should be. Have your converts, just don't pretend they're ethnic Israelites because they're not. If they are, then you're not! It's that simple to objective folks.

First you vainly attempted to say this understanding of the Israelite origins of the West was merely a racist, anti-Semitic "Christian Identity" belief, then you begrudgingly saw that is isn't and that Christian Zionists like the Israeli hero Orde Wingate and Herbert W. Armstrong (who couldn't have been more pro-Israel or pro-Jewish) understood and taught it worldwide, and that even JEWS, ISRAELI JEWS, EVEN ISRAELI RABBIS (as represented, in part, by Brit Am Israel), share the same understanding that I do. So if you fail to grasp or recognize Joseph stands before you, if you choose to be an adversary to those who stand up for this precious truth (rather than fall for the big lie of your ethnic replacement theology), you will find you are your own worst enemy and fighting a losing battle because Joseph and Judah are foretold to become One Nation Under God, a truly United Kingdom. So be it.

Meanwhile, a new international role for the outgoing British prime minister as a Middle East mediator is expected to be confirmed this week, according to several media reports.

The idea is reportedly strongly backed by US president George W. Bush, with some European leaders as well as the European Commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso also expressing their support at last week's summit, according to the International Herald Tribune.

The nomination is to be hammered out on Tuesday (26 June) in Jerusalem, at a meeting of diplomats representing the Quartet on Middle East peace process - the US, EU, UN and Russia - the Financial Times reported.

Christian Zionists, Jews, and Israel

For the record, I am a Bible-believer, a Christian-Zionist (one who believes the Prophets foretold the restoration of Jews first of all 12 Tribes of Israel to the Promised Land of Israel before the end of this world as we know it). I am not a Protestant or a "Jew for Jesus" and certainly not a member of the Roman Catholic Cult. I am a baptized member of the Sabbath-keeping Church of God (who believe the plain truth of the Bible that Herbert W. Armstrong taught).

It grieves me when I'm on various Jewish sites, pro-Israel sites, and some vainly try and pigeonhole my calls for Jews to follow Judaism to the Jewish Homeland to become better Jews and falsely accuse me of only "wanting Jews to die so Jesus can return." Nothing could be further from the truth! (Away with stereotypes! Are all Jews rich or liberal?). I share what Judaism teaches about aliyah (ascent, emigration to Eretz Yisrael - the Land of Israel). Did the Ramban want Jews to return to Zion and die so Jesus could return? Preposterous, eh? Indeed.

I also do not fall for the rapture myth, as some allege, striving to substantiate their theories as to why I have such a great love for Jews and Israel, failing to grasp that I truly believe in the Israelite origins of the West, especially the revelation of Joseph as the Anglo-Saxon peoples, as taught by Brit Am Israel and others, and am convinced the Jews are the ethnic brethren of British-Israelites (contrary to those groups who reject the Jews as illegitimate), and that the Land of Israel is also our ancient and future inheritance. This precious knowledge and love for klal Yisrael (all Israel, collective 12 Tribes) is my God-given motivation and why I yearn to return to Zion and stay attached to it while in exile (due to an unjust deportation I've suffered for highlighting the plight of the Temple Mount under illegal Nazi-Muslim occupation).

The Bible clearly teaches, recognized by both Jews and Christians, that the Jews would again be living in the Promised Land of Israel in preparation for the coming of King Messiah. Judaism teaches it "hastens the day of redemption" and Christians say "amen." We can agree on that point and permit time to tell who fulfills the prophecies completely, as all will be revealed and Israel and Judah will be reunited, reconciled, and Jerusalem saved from Gentile occupation. The Jews also believe that Elijah will herald the coming of the King to fulfill the Prophets and teach Torah, and Christians know the chief spokesman between the Two Witnesses will announce - in the spirit of Elijah (who is dead and buried) - the Kingdom of God.

I want Jews to return to Eretz Yisrael because it is loving obedience to God, as well as Israel's future construction of the Third Temple, the Temple of God (not just of the Jews as some slander) even though Israel must be warned not to trust Europe's lying guarantees of peace and security or their imminent Antiochus Epiphanes who will betray Israel and occupy Jerusalem and pollute the Temple of God, if they're not careful to hear and heed the Prophets.

Despite unwarranted hatred from some hypocritical Jews who treat all Christians shamefully, failing to distinguish between those who are honest friends of Jews and Israel and those who aren't, I want to express unconditional love to help save Jews from physical and spiritual harm. I want Jews to live and prosper and love and obey God and be blessed rather than to continue to suffer escalating divine punishments for sin that will only intensify (Dan. 9:11). I hope to help avert another holocaust, one that will target the British-Israelites (the "Lost Ten Tribes") and Jews, ignited by the German-dominated EU under Roman Catholic influence.

May all 12 Tribes of Israel remember our Hebrew roots and biblical responsibilities, turn from our national idolatry and immorality (2 Chron. 7:14), and be restored to world power and prosperity and ascend even greater heights of glory as a truly United Kingdom, One Nation Under God.

Bird flu: Europe to slaughter Israel!

Israel has been suffering from the "bird flu" for years, as a consequence of NATIONAL SIN (Daniel 9:11). Now it's coming to it conclusion since the Israeli people have rejected Kahane (the biblical ideals he represented) for Arafat and his Amalekite heirs: Israel is about to be slaughtered, having been sold out to EU interests by chickens, doves, turkeys and hawks (who prey upon their own people - not against Arab enemies).

The bloody vulture Shimon Peres must be caged, quarantined at least, since his unclean kind - symptoms of Israel's disease - have unleashed this sickness upon the Jewish homeland.

The Israeli sins are coming home to roost and the treacherous leaders who have prostituted themselves, who have sold out Israel, who imagine themselves immune from the EU plague, will soon suffer and die for it too.

Isaiah 28:14-15

14 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers

who rule this people in Jerusalem.

15 You boast, "We have entered into a covenant with death,

with the grave we have made an agreement.

When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by,

it cannot touch us,

Will the Israelis undergo a cleansing coup and experience a heartfelt NATIONAL REPENTANCE? Will the Jews get rid of the filth in their lives and cull the foul leaders that pollute the nest and imperil the land? Will the Israelis insist upon Europe's new crusade to bring them to their knees and encourage them to clean up their act?

2 Chronicles 7:14 14 ...If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Many politicians, analysts and op-ed contributors in Europe are insisting that the Hamas boycott must be ended now. Indeed, they blame the boycott for the terrible Hamas butchery that has taken place in Gaza and the suffering of the Palestinian people. The UK UNISON trade union confederation has called for ending the boycott, though they want to start one of their own. Former UN Middle East Special Coordinator Alvaro De Soto scored the Hamas boycott as the source of all the problems in Gaza even before the Hamas coup.

We have to agree that the Hamas boycott is non-productive, and even evil. Boycotts are wrong. How can anyone boycott a legitimately elected democratic government? Therefore we call on the EU and the United States and the UN to pressure the Hamas to end its boycott of Israel, end its campaign to destroy a member state of the UN, and enter into immediate negotiations for a peace treaty. ..

Barry Chamish on Israel's New Defense Minister


LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, MEET YOUR NEW DEFENSE MINISTER, ATILLA BARAK

Allow me people to introduce you to Atilla Barak, mass murderer of religious Jews. And yes, Mr. Baumel, he ordered the murder of your son Zecharia.. We are grateful you are slowly reaching the truth. Your announcement to not elect Peres President because he is covering up your son's killing was a grand step forward.
In fact, the order to murder religious soldiers in order to sabotage Menachem Begin's then-successful invasion of Lebanon, was not Barak's. Shimon Peres and Yossi Sarid connived with the documents thief Sandy Berger of the Council On Foreign Relations (CFR), then President of the American office of Peace Now, to destroy the war in American eyes.
It was, in fact, Begin's Defense Minister, Ariel Sharon who destroyed Begin for good. As those who have read my books know, Sharon had founded a left-wing political party called Shlomtzion, in early 1973. He invited Sarid to be his deputy. After emerging as the hero of the Yom Kippur war, in January of 1974, he was invited by Henry Kissinger (CFR) to New York. There a plan was hatched to destroy Begin's Herut Party by joining Shlomtzion with it and wrecking it as the Likud.
Sharon was promised power later if he would only produce a massacre that would ruin Begin and Herut for good. Sharon allowed the Falangist fighters to enter the PLO towns of Sabra and Shatilla and only removed them three days and 800 corpses later.
But let us concentrate on Atilla Barak. He is a coward. Prof. Uri Milstein, as good an Israeli historian as exists, writes that during the Yom Kippur War, Barak refused to enter China Farm and rescue a stranded armor unit. It was just too dangerous. But that's a hidden fact. The events of Tze'elim exposed Ehud the heartless butcher for all of Israel to see.
In his last act as Prime Minister Rabin's Chief Of Staff, Barak planned a complicated military exercise at the IDF's Tze'elim military training ground. His planning went awry as 5 soldiers were killed and 13 were wounded when an errant mortar landed in their position. Sensing that he was in real trouble, Ehud hopped the nearest chopper and flew to Tel Aviv to plan a coverup with Rabin. Yediot Achronot blew his cowardice in his face as soldier after soldier testified to Barak's irresponsibility if they were nice, cowardice if they spoke from the heart.
But Rabin was ordered to give him political power. So he was trained on how to overcome the scandal and made an aggressive ass of himself in a television interview. The masses bought his lies, but a significant minority, many soldiers and their circles, knew he was a lying weasel. And he survived.
In preparation for his upcoming political career, Barak announced he was going to America to earn some money. Some money, indeed! He landed at Martin Indyk's Washington Institute For Mid-East Peace where he spent six months getting his marching orders. He returned to Israel and built a new mansion, don't ask where the money came from. But how he
rewarded his financiers! Within days of becoming Prime Minister in 2000, he pulled the IDF out of Lebanon with its tail between its legs, left tanks and intelligence computers behind and worse, left the Christian, Southern Lebanese Army to be arrested and tortured by the Hizbollah.
Which is why no Christian in his right mind will ever trust Israel's leadership again.
It is no coincidence that within hours of being named Israel's new Defense Minister that Kiryat Shmoneh was rocketed from Lebanon. This was no random act. It was a reminder that he is in the hands of Israel's worst enemies. And he got the message.
And now Mr. Baumel, your son.
It was July of 1982, at Sultan Yacob, near the shores of Lake Karoun, Lebanon. Brigade Commander Avigdor Ben Gal left on a Jeep tour with his intelligence officer Mickey Shatz. We owe our information to Shatz who told the magazine Kol Ha'Ir what Atilla did after. Barak, holding a map of Syrian positions, and subsequent reports have future Labor Party leader Amram Mitzneh beside him, ordered a religious tank division into an ambush.
Without orders from his commander, in order to ruin Begin's victory, he sent the soldiers to their deaths. On purpose. Anything to stop Begin's success. Twenty three died fighting their way free. Just as many were wounded. And three were taken prisoner including your son, Mr. Baumel, Zecharia.
Mr. Baumel. We met. I told you Barak murdered your son. You let his memory die wasted. This time, find Shatz and Ben Gal. Make your son's death worthy. Stop Atilla from murdering again.

Herbert W. Armstrong on Jerusalem

Herbert W. Armstrong encouraged the Worldwide Church of God members to focus on Jerusalem. Why? Mr. Armstrong recognized Jerusalem's great importance to God and, by the ways things were going, he obviously felt God would have him fulfill the prophecy given in Isaiah 40:9.

Here is what God's apostle wrote in his "Personal" in the October-November 1980 Plain Truth: "The Arab world wants the Old City of Jerusalem back into Arab control. Some nations contend Jerusalem should be made an international city. But the State of Israel has control, having wrested it from Jordan in the war of 1967.

"What has been happening in Jerusalem since the Israeli takeover in that war?

"I have been somewhat personally involved in events there since that war.

"Immediately after the death of my wife of 50 years, April 15, 1967, I flew to Jerusalem. I had two urgent reasons. I had seriously wanted to buy time on Radio Jerusalem, then owned and operated by he State of Jordan. Also I wanted to get away from Pasadena immediately into a totally different environment to ease the grief of losing the companionship of my beloved wife and partner in God’s work.

"I wanted not only to go on Jerusalem Radio, I wanted to manipulate the increase of its power to 1 million watts to give coverage over the entire Middle East. At Amman, Jordan, and in Jerusalem, in conference with the Jordanian government and its radio management, I arranged for a price for a choice time on an extended contract whereby our monthly payments for that time would finance the Jordan government in the purchase of German Telefunken equipment to boost the station power to this maximum wattage. It was one of the largest contracts for purchase of radio time ever signed.

"On Sunday morning, June 4, 1967, I left my home on our campus in England for London airport to fly to Amman to broadcast in person that evening, the first broadcast on this new contract. En route to the airport we heard on the car radio the sensational news that the Six Day War had started early that morning. No planes were allowed to get through to Beirut or to Amman. My broadcast on Jerusalem Radio never got started. By the following Friday, June 9, the Old City of Jerusalem was in Israeli hands….

"A message (Isaiah 40:9-10) is yet to go by a servant of God to the cities of Judah. In whatever way God wills, it shall go."
